RETRO DONE RIGHT: INTRODUCING THE ADRENALINE GTS-10

Brooks has once again, schooled the game on how to bring back heritage silhouettes with the Adrenaline GTS-10.

Known for their attention to detail and premium performance running shoes, Brooks has more recently proven their love for the lifestyle sneaker game. Walking into 2026 with two Jeff Staple collaborations, and dedicating their archived silhouettes to urban artists, they’ve shown they’re here to stay - and are ready to compete with the big boys on the block.

The Adrenaline GTS-10 was originally launched in 2009 as a running shoe, but is now taking its first steps as a lifestyle sneaker. But that’s not all that’s new - it features breathable mesh, a reinforced toe panel, curving synthetic stabilization panels and boasts a DNA Tuned Technology in its midsole.

Among the many skeptical sneakerheads, online, there’s been a surprise at the wearability of the shoe. A lot of shoe brands have brought back old retro silhouettes, without much thought to the tech. @Theshoegame says it best “...You charge modern day prices, give us modern day cushioning tech too. I ain’t gon say no names but it’s some retros I love but will never wear because the pain isn’t worth it.”

The quality control is at 100 out of 10 - @winonakicks notes the sock liner stitching, and the lack of glue stains. Well, Brooks definitely arrived at the right time if sneakerheads are just glad there’s no glue stains…

Brooks has set a great example of how to bring back old school silhouettes with updated tech. It’s a premium retro shoe done with care; brickproof, hardy and ready for action (in preparing for this blog, we watched an influencer literally lift weights with them).

In the words of Jacques Slade; Brooks' approach is bringing back retro shoes ready for the world we live in today “... not living in the past, but bringing the past to the future.”
